I have one. A camera would really come in handy, a microphone would be nice for recording music ideas and speakers would be great for sharing videos and music (I use in-ear headphones). I know I could get separate devices for cheaper but it would be nice to have everything in one.

    Dear Apple,
    Canadians are people too.

Im thinking the local PCworld, Comet or Currys might be a better bet with everyone planning on going to the retail stores?

All depends on who has stock and how much stock they have?

    Im after the 16 or 32GB 3G

I like the input validation part of this exercise. Valid input must be between 10 and 20 inclusive.

okay, i tried to create my own custom firmware with sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 but it doesnt give me any option to not install cydia. does anybody know how to not install cydia in a custom firmware?

Both snowbreeze and pwnage automatically install cydia.
    Hide the icon somewhere.

I hate to burst your bubble. But most androil phones do not have the latest and greatest OS. How do I know this. I own a Samsung Epic 4g. I just got Froyo. I will probably never see Gingerbread. Until they find a way to update the phones to the latest OS. Android sucks!! I love my iPad and miss the iPhone.

Well at least on Android if you WANT the latest OS you CAN have it. On iPhone if you want to be jailbroken you CANT have the latest OS more times than not, especially lately. If Android sux, switch back to iPhone, see how you love it after you're back.

I think there's a huge market for this. Anyone who is into taking pictures would enjoy this.

There's a website (or used to be anyway) that was being developed before Google came into the picture that integrated pictures using GPS data onto a map of the US. I can't remember the name of it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Seems 9.5mm is still the maximum height: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/mac-mini/

yes, as someone who has done about two dozen hard drive upgrades on the newest gen mac mini's 9.5 mm is the spec.

750GB is the highest you will be able to go. A 750GB 7200RPM drive should set you back $100 - $110

P.S. Holy cow! Ebay's fees have really gotten ridiculous!!!

That's no joke, they are extremely ridiculous, I will never again sell anything on eBay, I will continue to just be a buyer, things would be A LOT cheaper if the fees didn't kill the sellers.

    Good luck on your sale!

    Andrew

10.2 is a paid install but cheap if you look around, but you don't want the "upgrade" version which would only be an upgrade from 10.1, which you also don't have and isn't free.

Best place to get it is OWC ( http://macsales.com )--they've got full copies for under $30 right now, or a bundle with iLife 03 for $35:

Why not leave it open but hide the app rather than minimising the window.

Still means that your desktop and Dock stay tidy. :)

I wouldn't see it as a professional program especially compared to Apple's other music software 'Logic' which is much more functional. However, its an awesome way to get into music production and as with anything in that vein, if you can get good sounds from cheap/simple equipment then you will fly when you move up to software with more functionality! To some extent, its your skills that determine how far it can be pushed...

If I were a betting man, I'd bet on new displays (or at least a price drop) at NAB. ;)

Have Apple ever announced new hardware at NAB before ?

VW and Audi both have their respective ads as well; I like the Passat ad.

    http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/02/vw-super-bowl-xlv-spots-push-new-new-beetle-and-new-passat/

    http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/02/video-audi-super-bowl-ad-features-kenny-g-as-prison-warden/

VW's spots were both brilliant! The Beetle one was great and the Darth Vader Kid was funny, too. The Audi ones were a bit long, funny, but you really have to want to watch them. I know they're teasers, but I couldn't even finish the Kenny G one. I will say I chuckled a bit at the first Scared Straight one when the guy said he has enough money to bring the stuffed bear back to life. Great line!

not that anyone cares, but I (and some Apple employees) found the problems. Apparently Sandy Bridge machines HAVE THE EXACT same problem has I have. They loaded a TIFF file from my machine onto a floor model, same deal as I have. They loaded the same file onto a pre-SB machine, loads A-OK.

So they are sending in my logs to the software engineers to make them aware of it, as I am assuming this is the first case they have encountered. I am wondering if old NEF files (such as D2x etc) have the same problem?

In anycase, lets hope they can give me an answer in the next few days.

    Heh, I was just sorting out my console collection today and found my 'Cube. Awesome little machine that was. But yea you should probably get;

    Metroid Prime 1+2
    Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Mario Kart Double Dash is okay
    Smash Bros Melee is brilliant
    F-Zero GX is brilliant
Viewtiful Joe and Resident Evil 4 are pretty fun too
Mario Sunshine? It's got some great moments but it's not as good as Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy.

Wow, and nobody could have seen this one coming. Proof that the demand is low: I've never even seen one!

    This.

I'm not even all that sure what they look like.

Just wondering, how many people are doing the SETI@Home project instead of Folding@home? Maybe it's just me, but my PC blazes through SETI work whereas it took it a solid month to get through my first (and only) bit of Folding work.

Anyway, I just broke into the first page of the MacRumors team with the average daily credit, I'm quite proud :D Just wondering if there's still people keeping up with that project in here
