Hi everyone, just joined the team.
I have an iMac core duo going at it. She isn't much with her 1.83Ghz but it'll be at it 24h a day. It's about to complete it's first WU after 1day 19hours. It sounds a bit long to me compared to the times a say reading the thread, is this normal?

The iPod is a good device, but for mature and affluent consumers, it's a neutered iPhone. They are good for kids and the shuffle is brilliant for exercise. After 10 years of age it is starting to be surpassed in the market by the tech it helped foster.

IMO i will also skip the 1st gen - i'm quite old fashioned with TVs and would like to stick with my Samsung LED 9000 series

Facts? You have no proof that she was faking a seizure- none whatsoever. If you want to talk facts, then speak about what you actually know. You have NO WAY to prove she was faking. What you're engaging in is speculation.
I actually know that many here have shared the same view as mine, that It's painfully obvious she wasn't having a seizure. Must of been a coincidence the seizure happened right at door exit then? Purposely done to avoid being taken outside, where she would of been in severe trouble.

They are rectangular and have icons on home screens.
There's only so much one can do with smart phone styling.
It's not like Apples on the verge of going out of business.
Much ado over nothing.

The size of Apple's bank account has nothing to do with this. Disney has sued much smaller companies in the past, and won. Because the courts recognize the need to protect valuable intellectual property, even when sofa lawyers don't.

Nice idea and interesting. best bet would be a collaboration with Panasonic. After all since Pioneer stopped production of the best flast screen TVs ever and Panasonic employing those engineers who got laid of from Pioneer, their new 2011 panels are simply the best platform for it. if they put it into a Samsung or alike then no thanks. panny s are reasonably priced.
I could see something like that where Apple TV and games are integrated into a high-end set. Would love for someone to own this space and clean up all of these damn black boxes. Of course, they may have to cave in use Blu-Ray somehow.

I feel safe running OSX...
Although the future will eventually bring us Mac users some "possible exploits" and other privacy invasions, I feel that Apple has made a good job so far protecting OSX and, as far as I'm concerned, they have earned my trust.
What I'm saying is that we should all just take it easy and worry about this stuff when it actually happens and IF it happens. However, as of now, I think these "kernel bugs" are nothing more than reverse advertisement for the new upcoming Windows, call me paranoid, but I know a lot of PC maniacs are dying for Mac's to get any kind of V.I.S.T.A (Virus Infections Spyware Trojans Adware). In fact, I'm more scared of being kicked by a horse today than getting Mac Viruses in the next couple of years :rolleyes:
I for one loooooove to brag from the top of the mountains:
"MY Mac IS 100% V.I.S.T.A FREE!" :D

I know you love your iPod and all (I am very fond of mine myself), but over the last few years Apple has been focusing a dispropotional amount of energy into their cute little gadget which has massively boosted their profits. For those of us that don't salivate over all things iPod, I think this is too bad.
