No way! Your friend should not be trying to take advantage. Buy the 13 and let him/her get their own. :D

You seem to have a strange idea of why the rich give to "charity" see here for instance:
Unfortunately, you don't seem to realize that we're not talking about 'the rich.' JoeG4 was obviously talking about the large population of middle and lower class conservatives.
And yes, most giving, charity, is at least somewhat self-serving. (this might be a bit too Ayn Randian for you, but...) If for no other reason, giving to charity makes people feel good about themselves, gives them a sense of accomplishment and pride for assisting their fellow man. Does this mean that the act is any less genuine or valuable? I don't think so, but that's just me.

I guess a better question is if they'll run out on Friday. I've heard a lot of stores get shipments on Friday. On the other hand, maybe an explanation for the 5PM release is show shipments get there in time and they don't restock over night.
Tough question lol.
I can head down there at 1 but its possible I'll have a class assignment in the afternoon till around 5, then an hour drive to SLC wouldn't put me there till 6.

I did get one! I was one of the last people. Maybe 50 people behind me by the time I got up there.
I got the Black 32GB Wifi. They ran out of about half the models by the time I got there. This model was my seconds choice, but it's an upgrade from the 16GB Black Wifi model that I was planning to get :D
That really surprises me that they still had some. About how long or what time did you get in the doors?

I was at work ~2pm, at the time my brother was working for the same company and away on business. He called to ask if I was listening to the news as he was now stuck in chaos at Gatwick because of the attacks. I tried to get news form the web but it had ground to a halt and I had to go out and find a radio.
I remember saying to the guys at work that even if they never found the guy who did it (at that time it hadn't been linked to anyone and I'd only ever heard of Bin Laden from a chapter in an autobiography from a BBC reporter who's name escapes me right now) they'd have to go to war with somebody just to vent their anger.

I'm sitting here in my office - in front of my crappy Windoze computer - and I just don't feel like working! I'm bored! I need to find some fun things online to read.

Also it should be noted that launchd is preferred over cron on Mac OS X.

Where did you get those awesome icons?
Also, how did you make your menu bar black? Some kind of a hacking application?

Exactly. Not exactly a shocker considering the considerable price drop to some reasonable figures.
Not just the price drop, but performance improvements as well. I had an orig. MBA, and it was a piece of s***. My new MBA is a pretty nice machine. Nice enough I sold my iPad to finance it.

So i got this iMac off eBay for just 2.15! It's a tangerine model with a 10 gig HD and 160 mb RAM, running 10.3.9. Actually came with Word for mac installed. Gonna get a usb dongle to get it on the web. My only complaint is that I can't sync my iPhone.
:eek:that's the exact same spec (but i had a 6gig hdd) that my first imac was but i paid 25

Try ourTunes (http://ourtunes.sf.net/). It's written in Java and therefore runs on anything :)

my ibook still thinks that the earphones are plugged in, and therefore it won't use it's built in speakers even when i unplug the line of the earphones. i check the system preferences, and it's options are only: "headphones: built in audio." this is annoying!
Did the speakers work before? Have you always left your headphones in. Are you sure you dont have them muted?

I think I can remember where a picture was taken.
Then you will be able to tag the photo after in is in the computer with location. If the camera had a GPS then it could tag the photo.. Either way then you could search, years laters for "photos of my daughtrer taken in France between 2007 and 2010." and they'd pop up. Location tags are a good thing.

From what you are showing, it looks like an array of either NSNumbers or NSStrings. You might try concatenating the values in the array together to form a block of data that NSImage would be able to convert.
If it is NSNumbers, you should be able to just walk a pointer through a data block for each number. If it is hex-encoded strings, you would have to use a NSScanner to convert them to numbers (-scanHexInt:).

I think they removed it, but according to Andrew Welch (president of Ambrosia Software), "Everything that was free in the older, free WireTap continues to be free in WireTap Pro. You can use it to your heart's content to record AIFF recordings, and never pay for it." If you use other features, an unregistered message is dubbed over your recordings until you register.
Hey folks! Hex Monkey, could you give a link for this quote? I downloaded wiretap pro, but all the documenatation provided suggests that one can only use it for 30 days for free, regardless of what file type one's using...thanks!

By all means get the polarizer and use it . It'll cut glare off the water and , if you go walking around the open , 'ponded' areas of Lox. it'll darken up the sky nicely and bring up any clouds . Hat and sunblock are also a good idea if you're like me and sunburn easily.
