You're well meaning Rodimus so I'll tone down my response. Do you not think it's a little misogynistic to suggest women stay under the protection of a man? I also don't think that clothing even makes all that much difference as a rapist would typically forcibly remove it anyway. I've been the victim of a few sexual assaults in the past and I wasn't dressed particularly noteworthily at the time. Though every time I go out clubbing I don't really wear much at all, yet have never had trouble walking back through leeds at 5AM.
Sorry was not trying to be too sexist there and not no they do not always need to be under the protection of a man.
It is more one of those depending on the area. Most areas it is not really a big deal but in others it would be a better idea. It is just one of many tools in a rather large inventor to help manage your risk profile.
It ones of those it depends things.

What do you don't seem to understand is that every individual person does not care what most people need/want. I want to be able to buy the phone I need. If you go with what "most people" need it would be a dumb phone then (with great battery life BTW)
Then leave these forums. Clearly apple-related news is not for you. Clearly you want a phone that apple does not provide. Why are you even here? The truth is, nobody is stopping you from buying that android with 4 hours of battery life if it is more suited to your tastes. You are not entitled in any way to force Apple to make a device that suits your needs. Go buy the Thunderbolt. Enjoy it.

Another pointless 666MB download for probably less than 1MB of actual update. Can Apple learn to patch its products more efficiently?

Apple definitely should give you a warning that you're about to purchase an app more costly than $75. Although this kid obviously only went to the app because of its cost.
I've heard this general idea mentioned by a few people but I'm more than a little curious as to why it's always $75 that's mentioned as the threshold.
Why is this? What is so special about $75?

If enough people take a guess on the release date of the next iPhone, someone is going to be right!

How do you request a refund? Who do you contact?
iTunes > My account > Account history (find app you want to report) > Report a problem
(or something similar anyways).
Now that I think about it - it could be EU thing - AFAIK by law there has to be a way to get refund ...

The old stock adage is, "Buy on rumor, sell on news."
sell on good news, buy on bad
sell on good news, buy on bad

I hope by "next week" they mean "tomorrow"...
I hope that you are correct, but it does mention May 2nd and 3rd. I know that we will have thunderbolt, but I would also love to see USB 3.0 and Firewire 800. And some impressive GPU options.

1) Lose job at Engadget
2) Start new website
3) Publish iphone "rumor" to attract readership
4) Profit!
do you know how dumb that is? He's moving on to a new company. Along with multiple other people. Also, he was dead on about the Verizon iPhone a YEAR before everyone else. I think his inside sources are more accurate than you think.
Also, remember when everyone thought the leaked iPhone 4 was really ugly and there was no way it was real. Exactly...

What about those who lost their lives in 9/11? They probably deserved to live, but can you give them life back?
Really?
Like I said - the world needed him alive, and I wish they had just captured him instead. Nothing constructive comes out of cheering over somebody else's death.
Um, are you not the same person who applauded the Columbine shootings and wished you had the balls to do something similar back in the day?
I remember that thread very well before it was moderated...so forgive me if I do not share the same opinion as you

Was unfortunately one of the MANY who didn't get anything today...
Originally thought about the 32GB 3G, but ultimately decided I wanted the 64 3G. Sadly, was waiting at the South Coast Apple Store and slowly heard them announce the 3G models all disappearing one by one.
Waited for 3 hours... not the longest I've waited, but still disappointing. Oh well, Online Ordering here I come!

I can confirm this. I have had the Mulititasking Gestures on my iPad(1) and I'm running 4.3.
Odd... I'm running 4.3 on my original iPad as well and don't have the gestures as an option.

THIS IS DISGRACEFUL !!!!!!!!!
With AT&T being the cell phone carrier that charges the most, they should be EXPECTED to provide the best quality service in the industry. If AT&T thinks 30% of all calls being dropped is "normal," this is absolutely unacceptable! So this means that of every ten phone calls to 911, 3 being dropped is "normal" and acceptable????? And major corporations with thousands of employees are supposed to sign up for cell service with AT&T, knowing that 30% of all calls (with customers) being dropped is, in AT&T's eyes, acceptable????????

...Anyone heard anything on the "multi-touch" front lately?
I think the mouse may be killed in '07 by multi-touch innovations.

Hmmm, why would an update of Front Row be deemed top secret...
"Top secret" also probably means "not developed enough to show yet".
I seriously doubt any or many features are actually being withheld to stop MS from implementing them.
