Hello Everyone!
I recently joined MacRumors! Anyway, I want to ask the opinion of everyone.
Do you think the iPod Classic will get an update? Someone stole my iPod August 2010 and I haven't had the money to get a new one. But since it is my birthday, my family told me they'll buy me a new one.
Am really a music person. Am not so much into apps and stuff. But, most of my friends are telling me to just get an iPod touch since it is sooo much better than the iPod classic.
So, I was wondering if anyone can help me decide if I'll buy an iPod now or wait for September? and, which iPod to buy? Classic or Touch.

Why dont you just build a webpage and then send everyone a link? Just like the spammers do.
we thought of that and for our first email I think we might do just that. but we would rather do it this way so that it would better suit or needs. this is a mass email that we send out to people that sign up on our emailing list. we want to create something where it gives people updates for stuff we are doing every month, and everything would correlate back to our website we are working on. idealy we are going to have a printed news letter, an enews letter, and our website with all three fulfilling different needs.

I looked at the docs for applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed and it says:
It sends this message regardless of whether there are still panels open. (A panel in this case is defined as being an instance of NSPanel or one of its subclasses.)
So you need to handle this somehow, possibly like this:

hmm interesting. seems a bit funny how he speaks highly of Apple, compares both their visions, yet declines anything going on. Although, I guess its a way to win people over. Complement someone else in the hope they like you for it.
Or get the attention of one Mr. Steve Jobs and hope someone calls them and starts the relationship that T-Mobile seems to want.

I like the monitor Mr.Noisy recommended, the Dell 2209wa. People are raving about this monitor and amazon has them in stock. Thanks to all who have contributed! :D
I looked at that monitor on amazon. $599? Are you f@#($ kidding me? DO NOT buy this for $599. It's a fantastic monitor and I own two, but I paid a lot less than $599 for BOTH my monitors. If you're going to spend that kind of money on a screen, pick up a 24-27" wide gamut IPS model instead.
Even the updated U2211H may be a better alternative? It's still IPS, and has the "full HD" 1920x1080 resolution?

To be honest, my Incase snap case has survived numerous falls, one of which was 5 foot fall onto concrete. The case itself managed to get a small crack on a corner but the phone is still scratch free. No damages whatsoever. Also, unlike many snap style cases, the snap case has a lay-on-table design so it protects the screen as well.

I have a Sony handheld cam that has 5.1 built in sound recording, and although its nothing revolutionary it does sound nice and pick up sounds quite good. The mics for rear channels are on the back, the front are on the front.

The original graph on Fortune (link is in article) also had a graph that didn't look right. But the accompanying spreadsheets made it clear that it's supposed to be thousands of units, millions of dollars.

as much as GPS meta-tagging would sure have the wow factor on the '07 release of iPhoto. the recent rumour only mentions that iPhoto has a missing button that contains a link that goes to google maps.
Linking this tidbit, to a supposed handheld device that apple is developing combined with the yet to be seen iPhone seems to be blowing things out of proportion, somehow the cynic in me says that all the next release may do is link your keywords / album names to google maps without the precise location where a photo was taken. It sure will be a busy MW'07 if it does transpire though!

Yes first post. VPN is VPN. setup it up and see if it works. If you go abroad you will most likely need proxy server since ABC and netflix apps are not home specific like cablevision app

I was at work, and someone said that the news was reporting that a plane had hit one of the Towers. We all thought maybe a small plane had lost control or something. A little bit later, someone said the other tower got hit. Then we knew. We had a small set playing ABC, with at least 50 people hunched around it at all times throughout the day. I saw the first tower fall live. After the Pentagon was hit, and there were reports of a 4th plane still in the air, quite a few were freaking out, as we are located between PA. and DC.
I had to stay at work. Got home around 6.00p and stayed horrifically glued to the boob tube all night long.
Blue, I was looking at the clock and thinking of starting a thread just like this one. Glad I checked new posts first.

That should work fine. All you're doing is copying the music files onto the USB and then on to the other computer, right?

Uhhh... The USS Missouri (BB-11) was commissioned in 1900 and decommissioned in 1919. She was part of the Great White Fleet, and had her cage masts fitted somewhere around 1909.

It's impressive that the iPhone is doing so well in the face of the continual public bashing that AT&T is always taking. Does the iPhone have such allure that people are willing to switch to an inferior carrier just to own the device? That itself is pretty amazing.
If that mythical Verizon iPhone does appear in Apple will pretty much own the US smartphone market.

Just got a replacement 3GS on 4.2.1 and though I've googled and searched this forum, I can't figure out whether I can have an untethered JB yet if I update to 4.3.3.
I know a tethered JB is available, but I also got the impression that for 4.3.3 3GS, one of the 4.3.2 untethered methods will still work - i.e. RedSn0w or PwnageTool. Is that true? If so, which is best/easiest?
