SO, I've split up the large files, then saved as mp4, transferred, but once again, the ps3 did something to the file to shrink it from 3gb to 700mb...
WHAT is going on?
Please help
I have no idea - I was pointing out the limits as to using a compressed drive I was in no way attempting to deal with your compression issues. My post was not addressing that at all.
kuebby was the one to suggest a FAT based drive - not me.

You will have no problems then. Just swap the HDDs and you'll be good to go. You can take the memory too if you have a 1gb stick in the 12" if the 15" isn't already upraded to 2gb.
Just a word of caution, removing the hard drives from the 12" PB can be a PITA. It's cake on the 15".

Thanks for the answer above. I do use a lot of things where I need to use my software for business related tasks.
I am torn. Don't know whether to give up Numbers without a fight.
Where can I get MS Office for Mac?

i could drive by tonight. I am planning on get into the line by 3 pm tomorrow. I dont know if there are "public ading" because we dont see any TV or news (like ksl.com) on it.
I Saw you just posted, I am in Brigham and am looking at around 9:30am or so after we drop my daughter off at school, She is a senior and wanted to also take the day off but then decided she didn't want to wait that long in line. No Patients like dad I guess.
I will have my wife drop me off and she can spend the day at the library while i enjoy my "Apple Line" Experience.

Better they use the same gestures etc. as Apple if they are going to push forward with multi-touch. We don't want to end up in 10 years time with a situation where every device has a different method for doing the same thing!

Robb, you want 184 pin instead of 200 pin.
I believe 200 pin is for Powerbooks.
Here is a Newegg link to show you which ones should work. 2700 instead of 3200, so focus upon those. I do not know if 3200 is compatible or not.

I have a 14" ibook in good condition; it's never been abused or dropped.
It worked fine until recently (the computer itself is still operational).
I have the original Apple power cord.
The ibook works if I plug in the power cord (with no battery in the computer), so the connector and the DC-in jack don't appear to be the problem.
If I try to run it on battery alone, nothing happens. It doesn't power on. The battery is used, but still has some charge, is currently about 97% charged and all the battery test lights light up.
If I put the battery into the computer and plug in the power jack, the computer works fine (off AC power) and even "sees" the battery and reports the stats.
But...
the little green/amber light ring on the power cord no longer lights up. It's as though the computer can "see" the battery but the power source is unable to connect to it and charge it (and it won't run from battery).
Same problem if I swap out the power cord with another one that I know is in good shape, so it's not the power cord.
Any idea what might be the problem? A cable, a component?

Great ad, could actually see it as a real Mac ad, though they would use all of their computers, but still, the MBP looks nice even blurred.

You have a mobile PowerMac?
What would the mobile account have to do with it? folding@home doesn't need a constant internet connection.
Nah, a mobile user account on my work machine...everything resides on my cpu..but it also backed up to a server..so i can log into any machine anywhere, log into the network and drop my user account onto that machine. IT seems that when it back up to the server is occasionally just shuts down Increase, which i haven't had a chance to fix.

Yeh sure, if you want a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 on your 50" tv. Sweet. You show me any TV that does 2500x1600.
What exactly do you think people will be doing on a TV? Using CAD??! It's a fine resolution for movies, browsing, music etc.

Thanks for the reply :)
I've just found the problem in the site definitions (as you say) there is a button in the advanced area that says "links relative to" with the choices "document" and "site root". I clicked site root and started again and when I made an external css file it has the same dialogue to click. This solves it.
Now i've just got to get fireworks to do the same now
Thanks for the help

By creating an Alternate OS thread if people wanted to yap about Android/Windows/Etc they could go there and keep the other threads clear.
No, it wouldn't. People don't bother to post relevant replies in the proper "mega threads" in the first place (take a look at the daily "Just got my MBP" threads as an example). Plus, Android/Windows/whatever threads are often on different enough topics that merging them would cause accusations of stifling discussion of alternative OSs.

Thanks for the review. You did point out that it does not cover the front camera, but it appears that it does cover the ambient light sensor. Can you please confirm?
Oh wow! Good call, I just checked and yes it does cover the light sensor...

I just picked up a Bluetake BT500 (http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT500.htm) recently. I have not used it long enough to give a full review. So far, I have no performance issues, tracking is great, no perceivable lag (though I'm not a gamer), and I can't yet comment on the battery life, but the reviews I read gave it a thumbs-up in that department. It has an on-off switch. Set-up was easy. Still, I'm undecided about the form factor, though, which is smaller than usual.
It's the same as the RadTech BT-500 (http://www.radtech.us/Products/BT500.aspx), hardware-wise, I don't know if theirs comes with something extra other than nicer graphics.

Everyone at Radial who I talk to is recommending the active one but there is also this passive one that I came across and was recommended by one guy at a local music store (although he seemed unsure and also said go active).
This is the passive unit: http://www.radialeng.com/re-proav1.htm
My Duet has active preamps I believe....so ya I was a tad confused as to why I would need an active DI for an electric guitar (w/ passive pickups). I'm new to shopping for a DI box could anyone explain the situations where you'd need active vs passive in a DI box? Someone told me the active one will give you a stronger signal but is this always the case?
The only way I could justify the more expensive active one is if it provides a better/quieter signal. Perhaps the J series is better electronics? ...or is it just sales rhetoric to get you to spend more dough?

I was there at 10 this morning when they opened and they said they didn't have any in stock, so I drove to Best Buy in Murray and they had just received a shipment so I was able to get one! I know the SimplyMac store in Ft. Union was expecting a shipment in today too.
How many did they have?

Hopefully the iPhone comes to T-Mobile in the UK. I just renewed my contract in August, but NEXT August ('07) I will be needing a new phone and I will be using T-Mobile, iPhone or no iPhone.
