At this point there is some progress and an issue with finding the graphics containing pdf file. Is there some particular rule to follow about where the graphic files should be located?

Self follow-up: two reasonable options seem to exist.
The PowerBook Duo supports SCSI Disk Mode when used with the Mini Dock. So in principle I think I could obtain the correct cabling and a USB SCSI interface and directly dump files onto the PowerBook from my MacBook. Since the PowerBook is on 7.6.1 and the MacBook on 10.6, I'd need either to downgrade my MacBook to 10.5 or to upgrade my PowerBook to 8.1 since 10.6 doesn't write to HFS and 8.1 introduces HFS+. Also, USB SCSI interfaces seem to be quite expensive nowadays.
Alternatively, I could get a USB to serial interface and connect the two machines up for zmodemy NULL serial transfers. Per at least one post I've found on the Internet, if I can get FreePPP onto the PowerBook then I can use the PPP daemon built into OS X and even bridge 7.6.1 onto the Internet, allowing it to fetch as many files as it wants or to FTP onto my Pro. USB serial interfaces seem to be a lot more available than USB SCSI, but this doesn't solve the original problem of getting some software onto the machine.

Mainstream rap today is pretty pointless already. I mean, you could only make so many different variations of the dance club, jewelery and spinny rims. Even people who are portrayed to be above the norm (ie. Kanye) still have to rap about materialistic things. He's the self proclaimed "Louis Vuitton Don" :rolleyes: . It doesn't get any more ridiculous than that in my humble opinion.
The only rap that I personally listen to today is, as someone stated above, Eric B. and Rakim. The old stuff is where it's at but even that's wearing out on me.

Coolbook is the solution.
I had both an 11" ultimate and a 13" ultimate. I preferred the extra screen real estate so I wanted to keep the 13" .... but the fan noise bugged me.
Flash, running windows via VM, photo editing, moving large files all made my 13" roar. (For whatever reason the 11" ran much quieter doing the same tasks.)
I'd read some posts here about Coolbook, I was reluctant to try it ... as a last resort before deciding to give up the 13" I installed it, used the recommend settings found here in this forum and voila my 13" has ran much quieter and cooler since.
I can work in Windows for hours, no fan noise, watch Flash everything.
Very impressed, it allowed me to keep my 13"!

Windows 7 Home. I tried that resolution and got about 35 fps. I think I prefer the visuals at a slighty higher resolution and decent fps. Crysis 2 is easier to experiment with different resolutions than Metro 2033 ($10 on Steam!). Metro seems a little more challenging to find the right balance. I am not complaining at all considering I know my Air is not something for hardcore gaming, but I am always amazed how well it performs considering it's size and thiness.

i think it's a little pointless using end of hardware life cycle numbers from the DS and the PSP to now go on making big asumption ... at the end of 2011 the revenue numbers might as well tilt towards the portable makers again with their new hardwares released

Anyway, I just called up the University Village apple store, and asked what happened last year and if they had alot of pre orders. He said people camped out overnight last year AND that the number of preorders was pretty substantial (whatever that means). He guaranteed that there would be a phone with my name on it but also said its first come first serve, of course this means the pre orders go first then the common folk.

Resolution isn't the be all and end all. Movies, browsing... all the usual stuff can be done on an HDTV no prob.
I would love an ACD, but I only have room for one display. It needs to run my Mac, PS3 and Wii - I had to go for a HDTV. I'm on the lookout for a display with better res and colour, and Apple just isn't a choice due to lack of inputs... looks like it'll have to be the Dell 3008. :(

You'll be lucky to get the case on over the invisableshield on the back. I know I couldn't with my Incase Slider on my 3G.. Had to peel it off. Save your money and just put one on the front.
Not sure how much, if at all, the back is scuffed up, nor do I much care since it will always be in a case.

As evidence that some rich people didn't earn their wealth, you just referenced Enron that went bankrupt, Madoff who went to prison, and the Banks who we bailed out... and would have otherwise gone bankrupt. So, essentially three examples where the free market either did or would have (without government intervention) correctly punished bad businesses. Odd choice.

How many friends, relatives, smaller investors and purveyors of luxury goods and services recieved a windfall from these criminals? The crime cannot be undone. Furthermore, you seem to not put any limit on this position so it would seem that you feel the majority has the right/ability to take as much money from 'the rich' as they choose to as long as they do it with a majority in the democratic process. This would imply that you don't think that the person who actually earned the wealth has any sort of moral or legal claim on the wealth. Please enlighten me as to where I am going astray in describing your position.

As far as "choosing" winners and losers, you seem fine with letting your vaunted "free market" do it; I happen to think that such a process is unjust if unalloyed with further means to prevent excess. The mere fact that a person makes a living and then some from the "free market" does not necessarily make them a legitimate "winner" with the strongest moral claim to all of their wealth. In fact, if you agree with the concept of taxation you already agree with this principle. Your "right" to anything is predicated on your ability to protect it, whether that be through legal processes, or through coercive force. Nothing in "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" specifically states that the top 1% of this nation ought own 50% of the wealth.

Your first dollar is very much yours - but your ten millionth is up for some debate.
