1) I own both.
They are rectangular and have icons on home screens.
There's only so much one can do with smart phone styling.

Okay THAT is just total BS. There are other phones that do not look like iPhone clones out there.
Look at what Microsoft are doing? They are actually giving their mobile platform its own interface and it's own look. You know what? It's pretty damn good too. You don't HAVE to do things the Apple does. No, Samsung copies Apple because they're lazy and they know that they can generate sales on confusing buyers or convincing buyers that this is the same thing as an iPhone. It's so obvious.
It's fine that they want to make touchscreen phones, just create your own look and feel. Granted some of Samsung's phone are worse than others.

I get about the same drop rate or worse in the DC Metro area. I also have friends on AT&T that have their text messages go to the wrong person. Thinking seriously of getting a Verizon BB and an iPod Touch to replace my iPhone. :(:(:( Sorry :apple:
Be careful. iPhone's superior web access is the future. I've been using a BlackBerry on Verizon and, although it's superior to many others, the iPhone's web superiority makes it so much more useful, that I'm migrating TO an iPhone. I'm just waiting until my contract breaking fee goes down a notch. I know I have company. RIM's sales are starting to sag somewhat while iPhone's are soaring. ATT is not my favorite network, but they will get better. The problem right now is that the iPhone is more advanced than the rest of the industry. Its users benefit, except when ATT's inadequacies get in the way.

The MacBook Pro isn't the only model to get attention today. The iMac is now available with a 750 GB hard drive, for $200 more than the 500 GB drive. Good news for storing DVDs or high-def programs.

i bought it on friday and man the sound is amazing=D!!! the only thing missing is that i have to buy a HDMI Switcher for my PS3:) so i can enjoy my blu-ray movies/concert on my 32" TV and it all fitted in my room hehe:P

It does vary quite a lot by where you live. Living in Sweden (and coming from the UK) just about everyone I know uses MSN.
Same here, it seems that AIM is only popular within the US. Elsewhere Messenger totally dominates.

Unless MS starts wrapping DRM into your ripped collection. There is no advantage to buying an iPod over a Zune. Which is bad for MS because there is already tons millions if iPod users to sway.
I heard that WMP did add DRM to CDs you ripped yourself. Don't know if it's true, though.

the virtual appliance stuff will be great for people who host their own casual low-traffic blogs and such. i was doing that, but then i worried that someone would hack in and screw with important files. knowing that the server is in a virtual machine would make things a lot nicer.

Can you name a few more? I have only seen Sony support AAC on their PMP devices.
From my own experience the PS3 and the Nintendo DSi all read iTunes purchased music, albeit with some metadata weirdness.
