i haven't actually chosen the TV yet, will be a 42" HD LCD is all i know for sure.
i am not worried about an incredible frame rate or anything, i only get 15 FPS now! but i was told that using DVI to TV will actually cause WoW to crash. i am not sure why, but that is the word on the warcraft board, so i thought i would see if anyone else had experience there.
i am not sure if this is an issue only with the intel machines, or only with DVI, if perhaps component works, etc, that is why i am looking for other experiences.
...i hope they update the mini soon, i am ready to buy, and the mini is due a refresh. ;-)

Looks like d0nfyxn released his jailbreak for the iPad 2:

http://www.zshare.net/download/89497991c8c07114/
It doesn't work for me -- I get a connection timeout. Anyone else?
For some reason, I don't think it's going to work for anyone else. Someone else is reporting the same error on sinfuliphone.com:

Hi All,
I've unfortunately been issued a work PC, so I'm wondering if there is a way to take advantage of the real estate (not resolution) of my 30" ACD. The only way I think this will work is by doing the following:
1. Connecting the MiniDisplay cable from the Dual-Link DVI adapter into:
http://storeimages.apple.com/1837/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB571?wid=326&hei=326&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
2. Mini DisplayPort Coupler (Female to Female)
http://images2.monoprice.com/productlargeimages/65001.jpg
3.Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter
http://storeimages.apple.com/1837/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB572_AV1?wid=326&hei=326&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
Is this a solution or should I prepare myself for failure? Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!

Good evening ladies and gents, had a quick question...
I have an entire website with interactive buttons and options (3.4gb) that is in HTML format. Safari will not open this (JavaScript error, use Internet Explorer) and Adobe won't open this. The file is not corrupt, it will open in Parallels just fine. I ideally want to copy this ENTIRE website to a PDF format, but I need to make sure I am keeping all interactive buttons active as reprogramming is simply not an option.
I will tell you the options I was trying...
Using Adobe Acrobat - I tried opening the HTML file and copying everything with Web Capture... this doesn't work.
I have also looked into uploading the entire file to a website and than capturing with Adobe, that doesn't work.
Does anyone know how I can make this happen? There are over 300,000 "files" on this website, so need to keep it in tact. It is a car service manual with interactive buttons and tutorials.
Thanks

CD-RW, not CD-RX. I'm sorry:o It says "Burning the disk failed because this type of CD is not supported. Error: 0x80020043. What am I doing?
Oh, okay, no problem. :)
Has it been written to already by another computer, or is this the first time? If so, you may need to use Disk Utility (in the Utilities folder) to erase the disc first.
Otherwise, it could just be a weird difference between your drive and that disc brand...and you might need to try a different brand. That's a strange thing, but I've heard of it happening once in a rare while.... :(
EDIT: There's also the possibility mentioned above by CanadaRAM, but as far as Apple History says, the iMac went straight from CD to CD-RW....

It is not nice to double-post.
first I posted on the panther part of the forum and then I scrolled down and see the software discussion only part.. nothing to bother you!!...
no one answered anyways.. I managed to solve it by myself!

Yes because its maximum resolution is 2500x1600 and DVI already satisfies that, it doesn't really matter at this point. It doesn't transmit audio like HDMI. Honestly the only benefit to it, is the increased distance it can run (15m).
Maybe you don't know so much about color management.
Ever heard about 8-bit bottleneck?
DVI could use 16-bit colordepth (lsb on second link), but nobody uses that and there's not enough bandwidth with 2500x1600 resolution.
Displayport (or hdmi1.3) solves that problem without having expensive hardware LUTs in monitors (that ACDs currently does not have).

I think that local connection is what they used - cool stuff. Is that in MX 2004 or the newest version?
clayj - that works in the single flash object on your page - layers in the same main file. What local connection is doing is having two or more separate flash objects on a page among regular html text and images and communicating between them.
DActually, I'm not talking about layers in the same SWF file... I'm talking about many different SWF files (my site has over 600 of them) all sending messages at each other telling each other what to do.
Now, as far as that particular page goes, assuming that they're not loading all of the SWF files on top of a common "layer 0" SWF file like I am, then yes, the local connection thing would be the way to go.

Don't have a product recomendation ready but looks like u will deffinetly need a document feeder. I have a flatbed scanner without feeder and wouldn't even dare to dream about scanning 100+ pages on the same day
As for the usb, i don't think u should be concerned. A 2.0 scanner will work with your 1.0 PB ( - mine does ;) )
You will however need good OCR software (could be in the package, could be the package sucks)
Cheers and good luck searching.

I was at work yesterday installing some ram into a new eMac and I quickly ran the 'Apple Hardware test kit' over it...
Under one of the Panels in the test kit it has a BATTERY section.. marked 'Right' and 'Left'
However, no models of Apple Laptop/dekstop computer have been available with Dual batteries until well after these Test Kits surfaced years ago now.
I suggest you try on your iMac or eMac with test kit 1.2.1 (this is what i used).. Its under the profiler tab on the top right...
Interesting huh.. I doubt this was left in accidently, as the last powerbook that support two batts, (The PISMO) never came with the Test Kits...

Anyone notice that Volume Logic does not work in iTunes 7 or is that just me?
Well, I do know the Volume Logic is **still** in Beta testing for Intel Macs. I wasn't aware that VL for the PowerPC chips. was encountering playback problems.

So those of us that are still using 3gS's (that are on their last leg) should prolly go ahead and get a 4, and then wait for the 6...
How is your 3gs on its last leg? I have a 3g (look at that, no S) and it works just as well as the day I got it.
Why did iphone users think they are "entitled" to a new model every time one comes out?

If you need to get some music back from iPod to iBook, there are several apps that do that (itunes does not), e.g. iTunes Viewer (you find it from versiontracker, it's freeware). I have 20 g HD + 20 G iPod and do the same thing ;)

Probably a poor choice of words from my side.
I mean that the last 5 lines of the page were transferred to an extra page.
