To be honest, I kind of have everything I want. (mainly my Mac and phone). I think for Christmas I would like a few hundred bucks (just incase I wanted to buy something) and certainly a new watch, which I might end up buying myself before then.

whats not to say someone just changed the carrier name? I don't own an iphone but I did search and its totally possible.

I don't see a reason apple would need to create an iPhone for T-Mobile if the AT&T plan goes through. If it's rejected than maybe thats a reason then to possibly go on T-Mobile.
As noted in this thread... adding an extra band opens oter networks besides TM. Also, if purchased, TM cannot flick a switch on all their towers to make them at&t compliant.

18k PPD is pretty impressive. . . . if you run it in windows you could use the vid card too, probably pull close to 25k. I would love to see Pande Group put out a GPU client for mac OS X.... I'm getting sick of running windows 90% of the time on my Mac Pro.

With these new big units no more need for GPU...
What would be nice is to run OS X and the big units, the GPU with WINE with a couple of fast Nvidia cards...

Blurgh! I really dislike all the 'faux UI' popping up everywhere...not a fan of it on my iOS products and certainly not Mac OS... it looks tacky...lets hope we get a choice... That fake leather looks so shite, id rather have a simple clean UI thank you...what happened to apple's good taste?

How has Apple NOT innovated on the Mac line up?
- Completely redesigned and absolutely beautiful architecture on the insides of the Mac Pro
- MagSafe
- 24" all in one machine
- Front Row/apple Remote/iSight in every "portable" Mac
- Two finger right clicking on trackpad
All of this in the year of a move to a new platform.
The REAL innovations though, will occur in the second generation of Intel products. THe most important thing was to make a swift but calm switchover to ensure nobody got nervous over the move. Now we are here, 2007 will be sick.

No, the European iPhone is the same hardware as the AT&T iPhone. It will handle voice and pokey EDGE/GPRS data on the T-Mobile USA network, but not 3G data because they use the AWS band for that.
Whether you believe that there is carrier exclusivity is irrelevant. Apple probably tests on many different carriers around the world.
The fact of the matter is Apple doesn't announce the terms of their contracts with mobile operators, so your so-called "exclusivity" could have ended at midnight yesterday.

Good little speed upgrade, though many will complain about no Mag latch or easy access HD bay. Hopefully I should be getting one soon. :)

i bought it on friday and man the sound is amazing=D!!! the only thing missing is that i have to buy a HDMI Switcher for my PS3:) so i can enjoy my blu-ray movies/concert on my 32" TV and it all fitted in my room hehe:P
isn't that the htss370...that should have 3 hdmi inputs and one output...you don't need a switcher

I love my Mighty Mouse, and I even bought a second one after I accidently fried one (put one of the interior connections in backwards, doh!) after a deep cleaning session. Too bad it looks like they couldn't figure out how to place the batteries directly under the scroll ball and expose the scroll ball workings a bit more to make it easier to go it with some canned air and a q-tip and degunkify it.

With all of my machines (8) I am pulling 25k ppd. The '09 mac pro 2x2.66 is doing 4-5 min per frame for normal units - I'm afraid to change anything right now so I don't lose momentum.

According to CNET, the new Air will be released around June with a Sandy Bridge ULV Core i5 2537M chip 1.4 GHz that can turbo to 2.3 GHz.
So for .17 GHz upgrade we are sacrificing around 30% graphic power?

Being a non-jetsetting 3gs user, this isn't really worth it for me. Maybe I'll get it sometime, but no rush here. :-p
But seeing that it "Contains the latest security updates"...
It would really be nice if small patches and updates like that were distributed through the iOS app store.
OTA updates would be a GOOD thing.
(Especially since Apple store employees are known for insisting iPhone users and iPad users don't necessarily NEED a computer. :-/ )

I would've bought the white iPhone if Apple had put it on the shelves at release, but now that its April, I've decided to wait for the fifth-gen iPhone... Hopefully they won't have any problems with that one

Near term I get rid of tons of cables -- I have seven attached to my MBP on my desktop right now (external monitor, FW800 for external drive, Ethernet, FW400 for scanner, USB for keyboard, USB for printer, and audio out to external speakers). Long-term it is possible Thunderbolt will enable changes we can't envision right now.
My only issue is the name "Thunderbolt" and the weird lightening bolt (that to date has always meant "touch this an you die from electrocution"). Light Peak was nearly perfect IMHO. Oh well, I'm guessing some committee group came up with this.

Maybe I need more RAM, but I was dissapointed to be reminded of Virtual PC, the way it totally slows the rest of my Mac down...

So if Mac OSX needs 1GB to run well and so does Windows XP then you need 2GB of ram. Same for the CPU. If a 2Ghz is needed for Windows and a 2Ghz chip for MacOS then you need either a 4Ghz chip or a two core 2Ghz chip. You don't get anything for free. If you want to run two computers you need twice the hardware.

So sincere curiosity here: I've read the reviews and it seems like this browser can't do all the Flash-related stuff a personal would normally want to do, ranging from some popular video sites like Hulu to Flash games. I'm not missing Flash on my iPhone or iPad one bit, but I'm also a little curious at this browser's success. Is it mostly people downloading something because they feel like they're getting a thing they were told they couldn't get? Or does this product actually offer something excellent?
You're absolutely spot on here. Nothing excellent, just a short-term sense of victory over a perceived hurdle for lots of folks. I persinally have no use whatsoever for Flash on my iphone so I did not buy this app.
