Guess what... I already have to get my PB repaired. Yay ! :(
Basically I have an iffy keyboard... It sucks. The tab button is obnoxiously loud and my "I" fails to respond if pressed in the wrong angle and my right arrow is ever-so-slightly above the rest of the other keys. Also my PB fails to play audio from its speakers if headphones are inserted, then removed. I have to half-insert, and remove the headphones to get my audio back... Ugh...
I plan to go to the SF Apple store in person.
So the questions:
Will Apple repair it on the spot?
If they have to send it back, how long would that take? And would I have to pick it back up in person, or do I have to go there?
Is the faulty headphone port attatched to the logic board? If so, would this mean a that I'd need to get another one? I don't like the idea of getting a refurbished board... So I hope not.
Would these issues warrent an entire HD backup?
If so, my other computer is a PC, with 128GB free (It has 2 HDs, one is 80GB (50 GB free), and the other is 200GB, 128 free [Slave drive]). This means its formatted as NTFS... How would I go about backing up my entire Mac HD?
I can't believe I already have to go through this. I got my PB around the end of may...
Thanks
EDIT: I think I put this in the wrong place... Sorry mods, feel free to move it to its appropriate spot.

Makes sense.
The Zune HD was very, very nice, the rest were a bit of a joke.
But the real magic of Zune is in the software and the services, both of which are Microsoft's strengths.
I love Mac OS X and find the first and third party software often has better UX than equivalents on the PC side, but the Zune PC client is one notable exception. It's really well done.

Thank you for the quick response, Night Spring.
You were right - the only choices are to stay at 3.2 or update to 4.3.2.
However, iTunes would not let me restore from my 4.3.1 backup unless I update to 4.3.2. I guess that's logical since the newer 4.3.1 ver would have certain features (like folders) that are not supported by the older 3.2 ver hence the need to update first.
On that basis, I decided to take your advice and update to 4.3.2. Was stumped for a while when I encountered a "3194 error" but later was told by the service centre that it could be caused by Apple's server being shut-down (seems it happens on Sundays in particular). All's resolved now and I am currently doing the restore from my back-up.
Thanks again for the help! Now for the hopefully not-too-long wait for the untethered jb!

Coolbook is the solution.
I had both an 11" ultimate and a 13" ultimate. I preferred the extra screen real estate so I wanted to keep the 13" .... but the fan noise bugged me.
Flash, running windows via VM, photo editing, moving large files all made my 13" roar. (For whatever reason the 11" ran much quieter doing the same tasks.)
I'd read some posts here about Coolbook, I was reluctant to try it ... as a last resort before deciding to give up the 13" I installed it, used the recommend settings found here in this forum and voila my 13" has ran much quieter and cooler since.
I can work in Windows for hours, no fan noise, watch Flash everything.
Very impressed, it allowed me to keep my 13"!

I was limited to two days so I chose Tuesday and Wednesday since that appears to be the "heart" of the show.

I have the same problem, my printer isnt supported for USB printer sharing and I have 2 computers. THe printer (Samsung ML 1210) is a great printer, but it just isnt supported by 10.2 USB printer sharing, and it has some bugs in 10.2, but Im sure Samsung will work them out - eventually.

One of the things that irritates me about iTMS is the fact that I can't play my purchased tracks on anything other than an iPod.
This doesn't currently affect me as I own an iPod but I would like to be able to use them on other devices as well (such as AAC compatible phones etc.) . This restriction means that I do not purchase as much from iTMS as I might otherwise.
I am wondering how much extra money Apple gets from locking users of iTMS into the iPod system.
Would 'de-regulating' FairPlay in this way encourage owners of other players to buy from iTMS and would this extra revenue offset that losses from lower (potentially) from iPod sales?

Yeah I have Imovie.. so you're saying that a folder/drive should appear when the video recorder is connected?
Do you know of any settings that should be place on the computer or in Imovie that is necessary?
Thanks for the input.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a lame looking sandwich box? Also, I have my stuff on my Mac in another room. That's switched on, whilst I sitting in the living room watching my stuff on a TV, isn't that a bit pointless? Why not make it hard drive compatible or even put the content on the box?
More money than sense, and not much sense at that. Big screen TV's are a rip off, and the so-called 'sexy iTV' is quite the opposite.
Why don't they just put a HDMI socket on a Mac Mini? This would let you use Front Row on your flat screen TV, this gives you the option of DVD's, USB TV cards (and video recording), etc.......You can already access media on other comps via front row!
iTV only seems to be a Airport Express with a video output!

That will probably be the first computer that follows apple's anti-os 9 policy. All of the other comps are going to be updated before Jan. 1st.

I can't believe AT&T still won't unlock iPhones: In the UK, O2 will unlock anyone's contract phone for free (you just need to ask), and a PAYG one for 15 (plus the loss of the free web bolt on you get for the first 12 months).

Okay thanks, if I just hook it up to iTune cause I wanna add a CD is that okay? Like just syncing.
Right. You'll be OK as long as your keep hitting "Cancel" when the pop-up (which will appear when you start to sync) asks if you want to update to the latest iPhone software. You can check a box to have it stop reminding you, but I leave it unchecked so that it reminds me I gotta keep an eye out (basically here) for a new JB.

Wouldn't a more obvious (and useful) feature be for iPhoto to "connect" to Google Maps and directly download maps/directions that would then sync to your iPod? PDAs have this kind of functionality, but there's no obvious or seamless way to do the same with your iPod. I'd like a button that brings up a dialog that lets you enter a zipcode or a startpoint & destination then automatically downloads maps and a set of directions that syncs to the iPod.

I thought "Commander And Chief" was terrible. Geena Davis has to be the worst actress on the face of the earth. The pace of the show was way too slow, the supporting cast was decent (they could have been much better), the story was OK. I thought the only good thing about the show was Donald Sutherland.
