I wonder if users who have both PPC and Intel Macs will have to buy seperate copies of Leopard rather than just multiple license packs...
You'd just need a family pack if you have a mix of PPC and Intel Macs. Unlike the boxed copies of 10.4, OSX 10.5 will be Universal. Currently 10.4 uses different builds for PPC and Intel, once Leopard comes around we'll all be using the same version of the OS.

I read here that many rave about the Otterbox Commuter. A hybrid case that has silicone.
When I look at the silicone, it is a bit softer than many others that I have seen.
What is the life of the silicone? Does it get stretched out? Does it tear? How about the polycarbonate...does it scratch or discolor (thinking of getting the white shell).

I wouldn't be able to say how much capacity you need, however, large hard drives are pretty cheap so I'd probably get a bit more than you think you need. Remember there's no need for a fast HDD, maybe something like a WD caviar green?

It's impressive that the iPhone is doing so well in the face of the continual public bashing that AT&T is always taking. Does the iPhone have such allure that people are willing to switch to an inferior carrier just to own the device? That itself is pretty amazing.
If that mythical Verizon iPhone does appear in Apple will pretty much own the US smartphone market.

Never used that printer, so I can't vouch for the solution there, but it looks like good suggestions.

I used that solution with SPliX, and I actually gained features.
Thanks guys, I've had this problem since Preview 1, and it for pretty annoying to have to keep booting into SL every time I wanted to print!

problem? thats an awesome feature! now you can open recent documents from a closed/opened app (like Win 7's jump lists) instead of using the global recent items menu, which is for all apps.
if its showing in Mission Control when the app is closed then yeah, i agree its cluttered and shouldn't show. maybe should just show in app windows Expose when the app is open and scrolling over the dock icon & in the right click menu when open/closed.

i personally believe the MB Air isn't a mainstream laptop, it is a laptop light. I need a CD/DVD and BD optical drive.
apple wont sell it to me, wants to shift people to its ecosystem. ie. get rid of optical drives, to force more people to buy content and software from apple owned stores. ie itunes and app store. So the Air is proof of Apple's future vision possibly. not really mine. yes its light, easy to carry. great! but for those of us who dont mind 5-6 pounds, give us optical drives and Blu-Ray!

i am starting to like the idea of windows more.

I hope the oil companies make huge profits too. Without them, I wouldn't have gas to drive to work. So what if gas is $5 a gallon, they work hard to get that oil out of the ground. Same for my electric company. They provide me with some high tech electricity to power my Apple products. And the supermarkets, for selling me food so I can survive. They truly deserve to make billions. Same for the health insurance companies. I'd like to see BCBS make at least 5 billion a quarter for providing my health care.

Whole disk encryption and ssd's do not match. Ssd's will become a lot slower when you fill them which is exactly what whole disk encryption does. Buying an ssd would be a waste of money, you're better off with a much cheaper hdd.

If they put it on that is a huge plus. I ordered something similar were you have to spray and squeegee. It ended up in the trash after 15 minutes :confused:
I recently purchased and installed the black icarbon with much better success. I like the look and feel. It has a bottom cover as well but I did not take a picture of that.:apple::D

well spoken. If you don't like the terms of the sale, don't complete it. If you buy the music, you've agreed to those terms, like them or not. Sure, I can see that there might be some people who need/want more flexibilty, but perhaps iTunes music downloads just aren't a good match for them. If you see something in a store that you like but you don't think is a good deal, do you buy it anyways? You probably shouldn't if you're not happy with the terms of the sale... Same thing applies to music purchases from Apple.
Now, if Jon hasn't done anything illegal in this, then fine...no problem there. If he has, then Apple has every right to pursue legal action. Like it or not, the license restricts your use of the product, and Apple has well over a billion agreements to that license so far.

If you dont want to buy your music from iTunes, then dont, you can buy it elsewhere and still use it on your iPod. But dont you dare presume to start telling a company how they should and shouldnt be running their online store when you have a choice. Its real simple. If you dont like Apple's DRM, DONT BUY YOUR MUSIC FROM ITUNES.
