64 bit iPhoto and iWeb are pretty much a sure thing but wouldn't count on a 64 bit iMovie just yet. Apple still hasn't truly potted QuickTime to 64 bit. The 64 bit API that they have is pretty weak and even then most of the real work happens on a separate 32 bit thread. I would be shocked if we saw 64 bit video editing apps from apple before 10.7

Will pirates be able to use this technology? I'm not sure how successful the eye tracking will be when using an eye patch.
Arrr, the beauty of this is that it works for people who only have vision in one eye - Google "Wiggle Stereoscopy". Presumably it be head tracking rather than eye tracking.

I have a hard time believing that even working a part-time job would pay for $70-$90/month data plan. Remember they have to pay rent, food, utilities. Or they are living with parents.

I talked to my BB and they said they had no idea about how many iPhones they would get. They had heard the 45 phones rumor as well, but has anyone heard for sure how many there will be at Best Buy on launch day?

I agree I mean look at the Move you can get everything you need for $99 and the same price and extra controller. Its just MS typical Nickle and dime scheme.

When the 360 and PS3 were both still new, one of the big things that Sony fans always argued was that, even though the PS3 was more expensive, it came with more stuff standard. With the 360, you had to choose if you wanted a HDD, wifi, HDMI, high-def disc playback, etc, all of which came standard on the more expensive PS3. Now, when the situation is reversed, and it is the Sony product in which you have to pick and choose parts for, and the MS product is a single, standard unit, it is seen as a good thing. That is laughable, at best.

I have one that is dropping calls 1/4 of the time. Was at Apple store. An employee there bought a bumper for his. He sounded frustrated over the dropped calls. You fanboys got to come up with something more that people are morons or whining over it. I assure you this issue is quite real.

Unless they've bought map data from Navateq or TeleAtlas, I strongly doubt Apple has enough time to map the entire world. If anything, because of the huge number of people using iPhones, it's perfect for creating an aggregate map of traffic data which no other company could do (besides Google i suppose).
And the deal could probably be like this: "You want highly accurate traffic data? You gotta send your anonymous location too." And it shouldn't be hidden in some legalese which no one ever freaking reads.
Although turn-by-turn directions is a no-no if they are using Google's map tiles. And I'd find it too visually jarring to switch to someone else just so they can play their own rules. Also, that'd piss off a LOT of navigation developers, and Apple rarely tends to do that.

Even if they come out with some kind of "widescreen iPod" I don't think it would be a 6G.
It would join the mini, the shuffle, and the nano as another "alternate" iPod with a specific purpose.
They each fill a niche for various people. If you don't need a large hard drive you get the nano. If you don't pick your songs you get a shuffle. And soon, if you like to watch movies more than listen to music you'll get a "widescreen" or whatever it's called.
But the 6G iPod will look a lot like the 5G. It'll just be thinner and have a larger hard drive. If you just care about MUSIC, there's no reason to waste battery power on a larger screen.
The regular iPod will still exist. It won't be replaced by some sort of "movie" iPod.

My Xbox 360 still works great even though the new one has been announced.....and they are not making me buy it :)
Though someone who wants an HDMI 360 and a bigger hard drive has a version they can buy now. I don't see what's wrong with that. More options for the customer....people wanted it and Microsoft gave it to them. They could have done a few more things but overall it's an upgrade.

I used to walk to a shop buy a CD with a HARD copy it was MINE I paid for it! a physical copy I had controll over.
Then we had MP3's with that lovely DRM removed to let us do WHAT WE WANT and had a PHYSICAL file on my laptop or pc it was MY FILE.
So what we saying now?
Upload all YOUR music your PAID for back to Apple or whatever company running it so they have the whole controll to pull it all when they want!
No copys, no files, all on the server and it dont stop there it will be personal stuff soon eventualy everything cloud based and your trust in the company to keep this all safe!
NO WAY I'll stick to my few terabyte hard disk and stream it from MY PC not THERE servers!

Actually I usually can go about 3-4 days with my iPhone 4 without recharging. More if I pushed it. Managing what you do with it really helps. I don't watch videos on it and don't do a lot of network traffic so that really extends the battery life. I found that videos, games, and GPS are the biggest battery drains followed by net activity.
Well, obviously. It's all about your usage time. You can make it last 3-4 days where I might have to charge mine every night, but when we're both down at 0% we'll have roughly the same usage times (~8 hours)

It appears many should unplug all their firewire devices before applying this update.
I believe my problem was caused by the Target Mode on my Macbook.
I had just put my Macbook Pro in Target mode, and dumped my MP3's to it from my Mac Pro.
When I plugged in my Macbook to the Mac Pro, the macbook wasn't detected... Then I tried it with the Macbook Pro...
Now, none of the 3 work.
I believe my problem was caused by the Target Mode on my Macbook.
I had just put my Macbook Pro in Target mode, and dumped my MP3's to it from my Mac Pro.
When I plugged in my Macbook to the Mac Pro, the macbook wasn't detected... Then I tried it with the Macbook Pro...

Personally Im hoping for the long rumoured ShakeMotion 5 (Codenamed "Phenomenon") - since now they would have the same version number, and well, it would be nice to finally have a true replacement for my aging copy of Shake 4.

Its the next day here and the streaming server is still jammed up. True say about steve looking ill. Whats up?, he's lost weight and looks waaay older. I guess screaming at those Apple employees take a toll
